Not pleased. Previous reviews are what lead me here. Alex was a nice guy. But he did me wrong. Due to dire circumstances I was forced to part with my prized 10k mariner cut chain. The gold was 70 grams...45 dat (penny weight). Current scrap fair market price was $1077. Understanding that Alex needs to make a profit we initially agreed upon a $900 price. Alex then proceeded to cut links out of my beautiful chain to "retest" it. I watched as he retested with a 14k gold acid test and listened as he tried to make the case that he thinks the chain is 9k purity because solution turned brownish after the retest. Please note he tested my 10k chain with 14 k solution to try and throw me off. He then pretended to write my 900 check but paused and muttered "uh oh your gonna be upset but I originally calculated as 14k purity"...and some other nonsense. He then offered me 700. I said wait...you just cut up my chain after we agreed on 900. He then offered 750. Because I was under duress and in a bind I said I'd settle for 800. He then made final offer of 775. In short he screwed me. Out of at least 125 bucks. Not cool.

I went to Loansum Pawn, Highland Pawn, James and Sons, and Alberts getting quotes on my gold and silver before I came to Angel's. Alex, the owner, has been in the business for years and is as knowledgeable as any professional jeweler; however, I did not feel intimidated or pressured into selling anything. He was honest with me and took the time to explain the diagnostic tests he performed to appraise the quality of my gold and silver. Bottom line: Angel's Cash for Gold gave me the best deal. Before you decide to sell your gold or silver, have Alex take a look!
