What a cool hotel! Was in town for the marathon and booked three nights here. For being huge and in the heart of downtown, the rooms were extremely quiet. The staff is great and despite being absolutely slammed, the bartenders were excellent. The lobby is gorgeous. The pictures don't do it justice! Beds were comfortable and the rooms were extremely clean.

The hotel was very beautiful, and historic, and the staff were friendly. However I'm only eating this 2 stars as I was disgusted to wake up and find that I was bitten by bed bugs all over... I'm really grossed out by this and now hoping that I dont have bed bugs in my suitcase... eeewww!!!!!!!! For the price of this place really i should not have slept with bed bugs.

Beautiful historic hotel. We came in for the Chicago marathon & chose this hotel for its convenient walk to the start line and a Starbucks inside. The concierge & front desk staff was very friendly. For the price point-you would expect a doorman but it appears you’re paying for the experience and the history. The rooms are very small & the bathrooms are ridiculously sized (albeit nice) You have to slide next to the toilet so you can close the door. While I would not stay here again, I can see why it would be a great place for events.
