I had an interview with Mr. Bensfield about the seasonal tax accountant position. He is more than unprofessional with his cursing, yelling, and disrespectful attitude. I haven't seen anyone who is extremely disrespectful to a candidate in any types of interviews like he is. The highlight of the interview is that he retrieved his business card and quit the interview, guiding me to the exit, as I clearly said that I preferred salary over hourly wage. It was a total waste of my time.

I had been going to Bloom Associates for 7 years for my annual tax return. My return is very straightforward, and I could have done it on my own or with TurboTax. However, I thought that having a CPA added a bit of security that made up for the (surprisingly large) fee. This year, however, there was a problem with my Illinois state return that was entirely the fault of Bloom. This resulted in over a two thousand dollar reduction in my return! When I called them about this, they admitted their error... but said they were too busy with preparing other returns to meet with me! Only after calling them many times did I get help with filing an amended return. So, this was a matter of both incompetence and poor customer service. Why would anyone trust them with their taxes?
