I can't say enough how much I enjoy being a member of Carlsbad Chamber. The Chamber has been an instrumental part in not only growing my business, but building long lasting friendships and connecting me to my community.The staff are truly invested in trying to help its membership grow and provide value. While staff organize many fun, educational and resourceful events, you truly "get out what you put in." It is unwise to join and not participate. Most can finish the phrase "if you help enough people get what they want..." , and the Chamber falls in line with this belief. A member with a heart to give is someone who gets back the most. Members who attend events, join a committee or attend a workshop find they get much more value from their membership.My favorite part of the Chamber is getting a chance to see other business owners and share common ground. I've been to several local businesses, never to know who is behind them. Now when I visit somewhere in Carlsbad there is a good chance I am connected to that person somewhere, somehow. It's nice to feel like you're a part of the community, especially where we are in a time where we don't know people as well anymore. Technology and Social Media have done well with keeping us connected, but we've become so glued to our smartphones and own lives we've lost some of that positive "Cheers" lifestyle.I do want to go where everybody knows my name -- now into our third renewal and active involvement with Carlsbad Chamber, I do.
