Unfortunately I feel the reviews are very accurate about certain doctors at this practice. Recently I took my six year old daughter who suffers with chronic tonsillitis to see a doctor at this surgery as it was after hours. I expressed my concerns about my daughter feeling unwell and advised that I had sited the usual signs and symptoms of tonsillitis from daughter. Firstly, the doctor was not very receptive from the beginning and not overly friendly towards my child, secondly he advised us that the white patches on her tonsils was in fact food that can get stuck there and suspected that she was fighting a viral infection and sent us home without any medication. it does not take a genius to spot tonsillitis, spots on tonsils, tummy cramps, headache, low moral and pain when swallowing All the signs and symptoms my daughter was complaining about. Now through the night my daughter ran a very high temp, I took her to her usual general practice this morning and seen a doctor who was very quick to make my daughter feel comfortable, it turns out that my daughter had a temp, swollen glands and nice big white patches on her tonsils and the diagnosis.... you guessed it TONSILITIS I had to pay 75 dollars plus the fee for medication which i have no problem with especially when you receive appropriate care. However my issue is this, I chose this practice because it was the only one open.. that doesn’t mean the care provided should be any less than normal. How can you misdiagnose this given the child’s history and present signs and symptoms! I literally had to see another general practitioner within 12 hours to get my daughter what she should have been given in the first place!!!! The doctor was rude and spoke to myself and my partner like we was overreacting. I have never recieved such poor health care service in my life. Thankfully we was able to get the appropriate treatment this morning. Lesson learned, trust your gut feeling and get a second opinion! Will not be returning to this practice as the reviews are very worrying and the care provided lives up to the reviews.
