I had a check from the government in excess of 40k dollars. I had an account with us bank. Us bank told me as i tried to deposit the check, they put a 6 day hold on the check. I thought that was rediculous. I went to the credit union, where i had been banking for 40 years. I had closed my account around 6 years ago due to financial difficulty.At the credit union i met with a gal named geanice. She was very through. We even talked fishing. Opened a new account for me, deposited the check, and i had instant access to my money, all of it. City and county credit union is far superior to other banks, in my opinion. It will be my bank till death.
