Feedback:
I have banked with Commerce Bank for over 15 years, and I have never had a positive experience with them. Every time I call it takes multiple calls and requests to talk to management to get anything done. This time even the manager was rude, unhelpful, and seemed to lack competence and passion for his job. Their online system is ineffective and burdensome. Their payment system is horrible. Their fee system is even worse. I will never use Commerce Bank again.
Feedback:
This place is seriously a joke I have an auto loan through them and you can't pay online if you don't have checking with them. Your only option is mail or 5 dollar fee from a third party online. Its 2018 everyone pays Bill's online. Not to mention calling them you will deal with some RUDE people.. should have stuck with the USAA loan I had
Feedback:
Worst bank on the planet. Absolute trash. Worse than diarrhea.
Feedback:
Beautiful building, reflects the success of the commerce family in Kansas City.

Should be called Hidden Fees Bank. Manages to find something different to charge a fee for all the time. Worst bank I've ever had an account with.
Feedback:
Their credit card department is the worst of any credit card company I have ever dealt with. While any sensible credit card company (like every other one I deal with) will summarize your current balance, minimum due, and due date in a monthly email each time you have a new statement ready, Commerce Bank just sends you a useless message that says you have a new statement. That's it. So even if you think you have a zero balance, you still need to log in and look. They also don't send you an email notification when you've scheduled a payment, when the payment has processed, or when you have a new message in your customer inbox. Instead of communicating effectively and sensibly like every other credit card company, they expect you to live on their website to get any useful information whatsoever. This caused a problem when I thought I had my card paid off and didn't realize--until it was past due--that I did have a balance. I think they set up customers for failure so that they can fleece them with late fees and high interest rates. Stay away from them. There are better banks out there. This one is a joke.

Giving one star since zero isn't an option. I visited the Brookside branch to obtain information and assistance about a home equity loan. All of the personal bankers were busy, so another staff member gave me Mr. Tyler Goff's card and suggested that I give him a call. I did that a couple of days later. No return call. Left a second message the followng week and asked him to call and point me in the right direction if there was someone else who could assist. No return call. Really? I'm a longtime customer. And Mr. Goff didn't have the courtesy or professionalism to take the time to reply to my messages. Shameful.

Considering it's a local bank, you'd think it would be better, but not so
Feedback:
I bank at Commerce Bank and recently moved into the adjoining Commerce Tower apartments. My girlfriend and I registered to vote early so that we can vote for the streetcar expansion. We went to the bank with our voting envelopes and saw a personal banker. He informed us that because I have an account there he could notarized my envelope but he could in no way notarized my girlfriend's envelope. After a brief back and forth, me explaining this is for a city vote and the banker explaining that it is the banks policy we got up and left. We walked straight to the bank my girlfriend does business with, Bank of America, and walked out with both notarized in a matter of minutes, no charge.
