Who rates a bank or credit union, or so I thought, right? But here I am stuck being denied an important Moneygram transaction, on Veterans Day no less, so I may be locked out till tomorrow!!Back story: I drove off last week with my debit card left in the main location’s ATM and a customer after me brought it inside to a teller who contacted me to say they would have to shred the card and send me a new one (5-10 days). That sucks I thought. I could see closing it if it went missing, but a Good Samaritan brings it in?No worries, bite the bullet and soldier on. When it arrived in the mail, I signed the back, called to validate and tore the sticker off. Now I learn from 800 number customer rep that “Oh, they messed up when they set up your account,” so the new debit is not tied to my checking.As a result much needed funds can’t be sent to my wife’s family in Africa to help with her favorite uncle’s funeral expenses. CTCU messed me up big time! People:Just DO YOUR JOB right the FIRST TIME.
