Extremely rude and very confrontational on the phone callsThey act like they want a verbal fight on the phone when your attempting to pay your debtIt takes forever for them to take your paid debt off of your credit rating as wellI once mailed them a check towards payment on a debt and because the check was not for the entire debt in full — this place mailed it back to me and said they would not accept it unless it was in full payment

Complete jerks with terrible customer service. We had a $53 left over medical bill that they would not let my wife pay on my behalf. When I called in myself, and said that I had never heard of a business not allowing someone else to make a payment on my behalf, he said that if I don't like it, to call my legislature because that is the law. When I asked for his name, he hung up the phone.

I was promised a reduction in interest owed because the company did not contact me about the debt until 6 years of interest accrued. This didn't happen and the manager was threatening and rude.

I have an account with these people, but I have one complaint against them. The complaint is; when ever I have sent money to them. They never send a receipt for payment, but they will send you a statement telling you how much you owe. I know it is a bad business practice to get into. Someone needs to go there to see what they are doing in that office.

At first I was pissed. I called them because it was on my credit report. I called and a women name Sena or Sima was her name. Man she had me from 100-0. I was angry and complaining why they never try to contact me. She explain into details they have but the only info they have is what was given to them by GCI. Which made perfect sense because I closed my account and moved and didn’t update any information. But she was patient and the best collector I have ever spoken to and she knew what she was talking about. She even offered to get proof of the service. Her kindness was different was like she really cared and very apologetic. I’m glad I had her she was very professional. Great company hope all employees are trained like her.

Had medical debt, that I called to settle.... what wretched, greedy, people.... they were offended that I didn’t pay them more than my expenses...and my debt remains. Greed is disgusting

No one likes to pay up but Cornerstone has always helped me retire forgotten bills, dispute wrongful debt, payoff so it doesn't break me. The agents are professionals and easy to work with. Can' t say that about all debt collectors.

The company applied collection notice on my credit reports because I have the same name as the person they are trying to collect from. I don't even live in Alaska but they said I had GCI home internet service. They had no concern that I am the wrong person even after I got the information from GCI to confirm they have the wrong person. They even suggested that I pay someone else debit anyway. Now I'm forced to work through all three credit reporting companies to get it removed. I noticed they are a member of the BBB. If you own money pay up or at least don't complain. If they are trying to collect on a fraudulent claim then please also reach out to the BBB and State Attorney General. Update. Management did call me, cleared my credit file and said they took action to prevent this to happen to others..
