The Esmeralda Resort is the last hotel on the Sandy Beach hotel strip next to the Sonoran Sun Resort. This Resort is not so much luxury. When we Arrived to Esmeralda on a Thursday we went to the lobby there was no one to assist us until 20 min later, when we heard someone sneeze in the other room, which must have meant he was there sleeping the whole 20 min while we were waiting he soon told us he would get somebody to check us in soon. The hotel condo we got was a 3 bedroom and 3 bath condo on the 4th floor. As we were settling in our room we get a knock on the door from the guy that checked us in asking and having a problem with our capacity size of 13 which was a bit creepy. As we went down to the beach we find out that we can’t even get past the huge rocks surrounding the ocean, although it is a public beach Esmeralda should definitely take those rocks out as all the other resorts on the strip have. Following that, the hotel does not provide Umbrellas for the guests at the pool area which they should. The hotel is very cheap the towel holder in our bathroom fell if after just 3 towels on it. Mind you this resorts does not have maids to clean your rooms or bellboys, the guy that checked us in took our luggage to our room. If you don’t care about amenities then you should go to this hotel the room is nice in all but not AT ALL what I expected.
