Overall Feedback:
After being with FNB for over 14 years, it is time for me to switch banks. FNB has ATMs conveniently located all over Lancaster, but their customer service is absolutely terrible.A few years ago I needed a small loan for a few months. Even though I had been banking at FNB for several years the terms they offered me were so bad, that it was MUCH cheaper for me to use one of those fake checks the credit card companies send you in the mail. I paid off the credit card company in two months and saved a lot of money. When FNB changed their monthly checking account statements, the updated version no longer provided the grid for customers to balance their statement. When I was in the bank I told the clerk I preferred the previous statements and I asked if I could have the grid included in my monthly statement. The two clerks working the counter literally laughed in my face and told me "No one balances their checkbook anymore."However, these incidents pale in comparison to my most recent encounters. I went into FNB and asked to have my debit card daily limit raised so I could purchase a car at a dealership using my card instead of financing it. I was told it was simply impossible to have my limit raised that high even though I had the money in my checking account. So, after I found the vehicle I wanted to purchase I went back to FNB and attempted to withdrawal the cash to purchase the vehicle. The people working there acted like I must be criminal to have that much money in the bank. I was questioned about what vehicle I was buying and where, and I was told to write down my profession on a piece of paper for their records. But the most unforgivable thing was I was told my military ID was not considered proper identification and I could not use it to withdrawal my own money from my FNB checking account. A military ID is federally issued and is an acceptable form of ID everywhere but at FNB. I am now in the process of having all my automatic bill payments changed to my new banks checking account and I will gladly say good-bye to FNB forever.FNB, I guess I'm just old fashioned, but I do balance my checkbook every month and I do expect good customer service.
