First Heritage (FH) was recommended by Stanley Martin. As a military family, FH has been nothing but an unorganized headache. We've had to provide proof of service documents (e.g. earning statements, orders) and many other documents numerous times because communication and the passing along of information isn't a strength of the team we're currently working with. If that wasn't enough, they've now asked for a letter from our commanding officer. For a VA Loan, I get it, proof of service is necessary, but there are requirements that must be met to qualify for a VA Loan in the first place. As willing as he would have been to provide one, a letter is a complete waste of my Commander's time. Just a hassle to consider when making the decision to move forward with FH using a VA loan.
