On Day 1, we went to have some documents notarized. No problem. On Day 2, we went back for some more documents to be notarized and were denied service stating arbitrary reasons. Both documents were of same nature - legal documents related to an asset. Even before we could explain the nature of document to Clerk 2, Clerk 1 stopped by and repeatedly asked her to say no. It seemed like she made up her mind to deny service. It was Clerk 1 who notarized on Day 1. We felt unwelcome and were practically shooed away asking us to go to Chase. We knew banks only notarize for customers. Anyway, we got it notarized in UPS by Jewel Osco in under 10 minutes and were treated professionally. As Glenview resident, I have been to Currency Exchange many times (buy passes, remittance, notary etc.) and that will be my last trip.
