Applied at two stores in CT. I was very honest with them and told them I don't climb ladders due to a very personal reason. ( I lost someone very close to me in a ladder accident. ) However, I have a lot of retail and customer service experience and won awards in excellence. This company won't hire me. Also I have a lot of cashiering experience. They could've had a great employee. Their loss! I won't do business with Hallmark anymore.! They seem heartless!

Strongly recommend NOT using their online store. Ordered a sympathy card and gift to send to my dear friend (TO HER HOUSE, OF COURSE!). Hallmark sent the card to my friend and the gift to MY house. Oy. Huge blunder on their part. Now the gift will arrive long after the card (after I re-mail it from my house to hers), and the two were meant to go together to comfort my friend after a loss. I will mail it myself this time to be sure it's done right rather than prolong it even further by using a refund or remailing process through them - and I'll chock this up to lesson learned. Will never purchase from Hallmark again. Haven't been in the store in a decade or more, but wanted to give them a chance for nostalgia's sake. Never again.

Hallmark is a stain on Kansas City. It’s an embarrassment that they operate here. They are very slow getting things accomplished. They literally take months to accomplish what similar companies do in days or a week at the most. They are terrible at communication. When you call, no one seems to know what’s going on and after getting transferred all over, you’re told you’ll get a call back when they figure it out. Their website contains inaccurate, misleading, and confusing information. Finally, when they do contact via email, they do so from an address that doesn’t accept replies. Clearly, they don’t want to be bothered.

I absolutely love going to shop at the Hallmark in Sachse, Texas!! The manager there (Nathan) is a Britain guy, and is the sweetest man! He is always polite, gracious, kind and helpful to get us whatever we are looking for. He always has the cutest and unique items in his store. We love when he has his clearance rack up, too! We get some great buys. I do not like to shop at any other Hallmark. In my book, there is only 1, and that will be where sweet Nathan is! Thank you for still having Hallmark shops around!

I worked for Hallmark for over 7 yrs as a Retail Manager. I was hired by the nicest person in the world but about 3 yrs in I got moved and things went from bad to worse. Even though every store they put me in I didn't do something right and my Territory Manager found something to write me up about. I am a 62 yr old single mother of 2 daughters and a granddaughter who all live with me and barely making it but I was let go in June. I got a hernia due to lifting the heavy boxes during the Holidays and especially at the fast pace they make us work and if we don't get out more than what we are capable to do they let you know it. Anyways knowing I would be needing Disability while re-cooperating from my surgery they let me go. Who does that? They don't care about their employees they just care about pushing the product and pushing they do as well as waste. I teach my kids to recycle, respect, be conscience and respect and reward those who you love and care about you and listen there are 2 sides to every story.

I have been applying at hallmark retail stores near me for over 2 years and each time i apply i get the same response!!! I have more experince but i still get the same response. i love this store and want to work here and then work in the hallmark channel one day. But i first want to know why i am always being passed up for someone else!!!!!
