Overall Feedback:
I was attracted to the no foreign currency fees on Preferred Visa. Everything was going well until my card was somehow compromised (I suspect it's Home Trust lax security practices) and I tried to resolve the issue. Customer service is beyond atrocious and unlike other card issuers, there is literally no on-line services other than viewing your account balance and statements. This is a company that has yet to realize the dawn of the internet age. Anyway, after numerous phone calls, I was finally able to get the card cancelled and re-issued. It took another few phone calls (and wait times in excess of 20 minutes) to get the fraudulent charges reversed. I still have one outstanding fraudulent charge of $3 and Home Trust's service is so bad I've just decided it's not worth the effort to dispute it. I will be looking for other options for no foreign currency fee credit cards. AVOID THIS CREDIT CARD at all costs!UPDATE: I love the response from Home Trust. My review points out what an absolute horror show their customer service is, it's absolutely impossible to get through to a customer service agent, and when you do, they usually have to transfer you to another department that barely ever picks up the phone. Home Trust's response? Please call our toll-free number. What a joke!
