The staff tries hard but all are limited by an unreasonable owner named John Derry. We switched software for our Clothing store to Retail Pro 'Prism' in October of last year. This latest version had so many 'glitches' and problems, such as: freezing solid in the middle of a transaction for 45 minutes to an hour while clients have to either wait or leave; and inventory vanishing after being entered! The company suggested we install an older version until they figure out what is wrong...I can except this and will work with JD Associates for this matter. However, John Derry (the owner) also sold me hardware (2 HP Computers) both of which failed within a month of owning.. The Mother Boards had to be replaced on both computers within a week of each other! JD associates then had me deal with the manufacturer directly and did not simply replace the computers. My busy retail store in October had to get by with a POS station down for 3 to 5 days at a time until a Del computer repair person came out to repair...Now we are getting ready to install the older software system. I purchased 2 new computers from my trusted IT company and want JD to install the software in these new computers while giving me a return for the del computers (which continue to have problems) sold to me. However, John Derry told me he won't take the computers back for a refund or credit and I need to deal with the manufacturer! His words were 'that is why there is a warranty' and told me to contact HP. I have been extremely reasonable and have lost thousands of dollars in sales as a result of this transaction and experience. This is my first time writing a bad review, however, I had to let other people know not to deal with an unreasonable company and person such as John Derry from JD Associates who has just been taken over by a company called One Step Solutions.
