Here is my explanation for giving them 1 star - The owner seems to be a nice guy. My problem is with his worker. The white guy (I didn’t catch his name so that’s the description) has horrible customer service. When I went in with a chain I wanted to sell, they valued it. I came back because the buyer wanted to have it checked for it’s validity in person, the same guy got an attitude, was very rude, and refused to value it in front of the buyer solely because he was mad I was not selling it to the pawn store. Awful! Second time around I take a watch in for my friend, the watch is brand new, a well known watch amongst business men and retails for $1100. As soon as I placed the box on the table, he started making comments about how it could be fake BEFORE even seeing it. Then he insults me with a $50.00 offer for a flawless $1100 watch. Not even a year old. The reasoning? Because it’s not a Rolex or expensive watch someone comes looking for. Because there are more expensive watches out there it means this watch doesn’t have value? Because people aren’t aware of a certain brand it means it loses its quality? So you want to buy this $1000 watch for $50 because you don’t know anyone who will buy it because everyone wants a Rolex? Horrible business etiquette. If you don’t want to purchase it because you don’t have the clientele & don’t know anyone who is well rounded in watches.. then just say so. Don’t demean someone’s property because your inventory won’t move. Lastly, I asked to have a Diesel watch fixed & he says “it’s probably not even worth fixing” how rude! You don’t decide what is something is worth to someone. It turns out it’s $50 to fix a watch that was 300 something odd dollars. Well worth the fix. You work for a pawn shop buddy, maybe you should humble yourself until you make some career moves. Whatever your name is you’re ruining the other gentleman’s business. And brush your teeth... Im sure my friend will continue to do business here, but I will not.
