Client Review on Merchant Bankcard
Feedback:
I really wish I could give them a good review. I wanted a good merchant service. No hidden fees no hassle etc.But here is my experience with them. First, their sales team is pushy. I was getting calls 3-4 times a day. I worked with Damien. When I had a problem, I emailed him and I didn't hear back from him. I was with square and he convinced me that they would save me some money since square charges 2.75% and they charge 1.39%+.10 cent per transaction. He was running the numbers on his calculator and reassured me that all the bad reviews were result of another company with similar name. So I reluctantly decided to give them a try. After 30 days, I've got a $47.26 charge on my bank account even after they were deducting some fees from my sales which was about about $27 . I knew there were monthly fee , PCI fee and monthly min sales of $15. But what I didn't know was that they have tiered rates of Qualified rate (basically your bank debit card); Mid qualified rate and Non qualified rates ( cards with any rewards or corp cards) on top of the 1.39%. Almost all my sales were considered non qualified. So they have charged me 1.39%+1.50% + .10 cents for each transaction. Overall when I add up everything, I ended up paying them 3.8% of my sales. I've talked to one of their Rep Dona. She was basically saying next month I might get more of the qualified cards. But everyone I know uses their rewards cards. The bottom line is I guess it could be cheaper if all of your clients use their debit cards, not their credit cards. I am going back to Square. At least I know exactly what I am paying and no surprises.Update: They have charged my bank account 2 more times, since I cancelled my services with them. They offered to give me a refund back. When I didn't see the refund, I called again to ask. But here is the funny part, the supervisor said they couldn't give me a refund, because I wasn't going to change my google review. So that kinda explains all the fake reviews.
