Feedback:
I needed to simply verify one small piece of information with someone at this bank. It would have saved a mutual customer a great deal of time and trouble. They absolutely refused to provide a simple answer to a yes or no question that had absolutely nothing to do with the privacy of the customers information. Their policies are not customer service friendly and are not based in any form of common sense. They weren't even apologetic about it.
Feedback:
I have been a member for well over a decade. While the customer service isn't the friendliest, the tellers always see to my needs efficiently. I usually get out of there within five minutes, regardless of my purpose for being there.
Feedback:
I needed to get some quarters for laundry. I walked in and asked if I could get two rolls as change for a twenty. However, policy is only to do such services for members, which I was informed of mechanically by the teller. I then walked to Wells Fargo, where I received the quarters I needed without being a member by a very friendly teller.

Good customer service
Feedback:
A previous reviewer (in 2010, perhaps) advised readers to stay away from Midwestone's online banking. My 2 cents: Firstly, I'd recommend this bank for the good customer service I received from it since 1999, as well as its role in the Iowa City community in general. Secondly, the web interface - at least in 2014- is functional, albeit no-frills and ripe for redesign. Thirdly, the management seems willing to listen to customer feedback. Unless you are particularly picky about online banking, your experience with this bank should be just as good as with any of the established local banks in Iowa City.
