On 13 September 2016, Regions Bank entered into a settlement agreement with the United States Department of Justice. The settlement resolves allegations that Regions failed to meet its obligations as a participant in the FHA program. Regions has agreed to pay $52.4 million to resolve the allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by knowingly originating and underwriting mortgage loans insured by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Federal Housing Administration (FHA) that did not meet applicable requirements.I have been waiting 210 days for a response to the letter(s) I sent Regions Bank.
