This is the worst POS that I have ever used. I am not using the term POS, it is a P.O.S. If you want to pay $1000 a year for support that gives no support, go ahead. When you call support during regular business hours you can expect to wait until they feel like calling you back(usually in the middle of a huge rush). If you’re in a rush, they will tell you that they need to help you now, or you can call back and wait several hours again. If you call after their hours, you can really wait until the on call person decides to call you back. The only credit card processing that works with them is Mercury (another sham). If you’re thinking of this POS (P.O.S), run away!!!! You have been warned.

Our store location has used take1 for 17 years. I just got off the phone with support (no voicemail and call back) and they solved a very convoluted problem we were having in less than twenty minutes. Think about that. I'm using an POS that is almost twenty years old and running it on windows XP- without connection to the internet. When problems with your POS happen it is stressful, can be crippling to business and I have had those moments in the past with SelbySoft. I assure you I was mad, irritated and felt like there was more that could have been done and that is how you are going to feel regardless of who is on the other side of the phone line. My point is this company built software that lasts decades and supports it to this day- that is pretty incredible for a business of their scale.

We've been using SelbySoft for over 3 years and it has supported our Specialty Coffee business without any interruption! The support team helped set up our menu hierarchy at the last minute after another company admitted they couldn't support our Canadian harmonized tax structure. Mike and his entire team, have been both accessible and insightful in helping us implement changes and improve the speed & accuracy with which we serve our customers! The fact that they offer a mobile app platform and partner with other industry suppliers for secure gift cards & mobile dashboard reporting keeps us on top of our business every day. As we expand with new locations & menu offerings, SelbySoft will be our POS partner!

We used this company as our POS for 4 years. The technical support is extremely frustrating and inadequate as you are required to leave a message and hope for a call back. There is no after hours or emergency relief if problems arise outside of their normal business hours. We often received very delayed responses and at times no response at all and a follow up was required. There are certain reports only they can run for you and again...you are at the mercy of their time-frame. We are expanding our business and decided to go a different route for our POS system at our new store.

Great POS system. I love the reports and how they are easy to read and analyze my financial data. The adjustable tax rates are great as well. The support and sales staff have been really great to talk with as well they are always courteous and are able to find a solution to my problem. Most sales people are not quite as knowledgable as the support staff but these guys really know their stuff. I would always recommend this POS machine to anyone opening a coffee house or restaurant.
