Do you want a school that teaches to the test? If so this school is perfect for you! If you want a school that enriches the whole child i would move on. The principal had yet to respond to me about my son being bullied (i witnessed him being physically assaulted on school grounds twice), he did have his teacher pass on the memo if my child was a car rider it wouldnt happen because they dont have a teacher who can wait out their with the walkers to be met. Thank god the child only punches my son and no one has come to abduct him because they would have no clue. For the record the kindergarten students do wait with a teacher until all are picked up. My child is not learning a fraction of what they learned at their prior school, it has just been focused on what he needs to pass standardised test. They also push them too hard. Other states do not expect them to read at such high levels. Homework requirements are beyone necessary, i am thankful my sons teacher let us reduce his load as it was over an hour of busy work a night for a 6 year old! We have also extended wintee vacation a week for ice. If this was for student saftey schools in north Carolina and above would never open. One day of snow requires snow days and a weekend? The temperature was in the 50s today. I am devastated i wasted 1 and a half of my sons educational experience on a school that cares so little about a child's development.
