Overall Feedback:
I’ve always prided myself in using Turbo Tax to do my taxes for my business and personal tax returns. As my small business has grown, I thought I should consult a CPA. Michael Westwick was recommended by a friend, so I had a conversation with him late last year about my taxes. He recommended I switch my business to an LLC and make a late election to file as an S-Corp for 2018. We did and we were accepted in early 2019 after the IRS re-opened from the shutdown. This move saved me about $15,000+ in self employment taxes for 2018. I always followed all of the prompts in Turbo Tax and took every deduction that I was able to, but working with Michael has made me realize that you can change the rules of the game and fall into different categories which result in different questions (and deductions and tax advantages). I still can't believe how little taxes I paid for last year (both for business and personal). I highly recommend Michael and his team, they are real pros who know what they are doing. They have world class service too... quick communication and their online portal makes uploading and receiving documents a breeze. WOW!
