Applied for a loan after bankruptcy was discharged for a few months, but was denied. Was told I would receive a call back within 24 hrs. if approved or not and had to call on 3rd day to find out that I was not approved; said they were going to mail me a letter. I had a few online payday loans that I tried to consolidate with them since I read on one of their websites that they are open to people who have a recent bankruptcy discharge and offer installment loans for people in risk of payday loans. Website said "helping those who need it most get out of the payday loan cycle. Universal Lenders is the alternative to payday loans for which Wisconsin lawmakers are looking." Being employed for almost 20 years didn't make any difference although if I would've defaulted for any reason they could've easily garnished my wages. I regret giving them all of my information and going over all my financial obligations with them for nothing. So much for them saying "that they give out loans for those with perfect credit to poor credit, but we don’t give loans to people who can’t afford them.” I was getting by paying on multiple paydays loans, I certainly could've afforded to have them consolidated and put into one installment loan, but again, I was not approved.
