I am extremely disappointed with this location. I called to set up an appointment for a pre approved car loan. However, all staff members were busy at the time and was promised a call back by the end of the day. Well unfortunately that never happened. The next day I called them back to let me know and they acknowledged the fact that they had overlooked my call. To top it all out, I missed out on a great car deal. I only use this bank to deposit money but I just might take my business elsewhere. Not a happy customer.

it's like banking 30 years ago. systems and processes are significantly outdated and inconvenient. rates are worse than big banks. no real reason to do business with VCCU.

This Credit Union has been very good at being NO HELP at all. Ive been with them about the last two years. This is coming from someone who is consistently paying each month on time for my auto loan. When I needed assistance taking my ex off the loan they were NO HELP. I left messages and voicemails for the assistant manager multiple times with no response. I was recently told this week by one of the VC Credit officers that I was "Pre- Approved" for an auto loan for 30K, so I go car shopping. This morning I was told I was still "Pre Approved" so I asked for details on the loan. I needed to get an email on the details of the Pre Approval. So they return my call later stating that "it was expired". When asking why they said that underwriting had reviewed it and expired, I was not given any details on why. I was told this deal was good until July. I plan on leaving this credit union asap. I would not recommend this credit union to anyone. Taking my money somewhere else.

EDIT: this was meant to be posted on the Ventura Telephone location, i dont know why google said this was the closest on to me when i’m in the parking lot of the Ventura location. i also do not know how to delete my review.they close at 2pm on saturdays and i literally couldnt get here any any other time the past 2 weeks because i live out in ojai. my car payment is going to be late now because i wont have free time to commute out here for another almost 2 weeks. i also have many other issues with certain policies they have but this is ridiculous. once i’m done paying off my car, i’m dumping this place. it’s just been problem after problem. i’m sorry, but who ever heard of a bank closing that early on a saturday. doesnt even give businesses a lot of time to get change and be prepared for sundays.

The manager and asst manager of this branch are both exceptional! They always go many extra miles in customer service. When my mother passed away, the Camarillo branch did not put any effort into helping us do what we asked to with my parents' account. I went to the Thousand Oaks branch and Anna listened and understood what we were asking for. She went to extraordinary lengths to make it happen, which was a huge relief for my father, especially, during the most difficult time in his life. Very special folks at the TO branch!

Complete nightmare! We decided to switch our business and personal accounts from WF to VCC. When we met with Amanda she told us that they would hold checks for the first 30 days but after that we would be clear. NOT TRUE. Amanda opened 4 bank accounts for us knowing we needed the check to clear in a timely manner. VCC holds checks for 7 days at a time for the first three months, at the discretion of the teller! We were unable to run our business. We switched our CC Processing company over, spent $250 on checks and spent 3 weeks moving this account. Anna is the branch manager and she could not have been more unhelpful in this process. Sorry to say we are now in the process of closing our accounts. Do not do business with this bank!

The folks at this branch are great! Friendly and helpful. Rates are great. Statements are easy to decipher. You get loans and everything all on one statement...love that! The only thing that drove me crazy was the lights on the door to enter the building. But they have fixed that! Yipeee! I love this bank!!
