I’m a disabled combat veteran and my house was just recently damaged by hurricane Florence. We actually were moved from our house in temporary housing. If this isn’t bad enough, while in the process of repairs and already made a claim with insurance, Veterans United sold my loan to another mortgage company causing so many issues that now I’m dealing with no help from them. This is causing much unwanted stress. I started the process with veterans United claims department, I only have 1 check left for endorsment and they say sorry we can’t help you contact your new mortgage company, which I didn’t ask for especially in the middle of this process. Now the new mortgage company is having to re process everything and I have to have the insurance re issues the check. All this is a lengthy process. I went to Navy federal credit union and had to take out a veterans national disaster loan just to pay for the damages I have already started. I will never trust veterans United home loans again and I will do everything I can to let everyone I know hear this story . I will never recommend veterans United home loan to anyone. I feel the up most disrespect with this process. It’s bad enough to go through something this devastating but then to be told by someone over the phone there’s nothing they can do. This has been the worst experience I have ever seen when it comes to a company “devoted to veterans”. Now my house is complete and I’m 30k in dept with home repair bills and a check wrote out to me and Veterans United for 45k but I can’t do anything with this. This entire re process could take up to 2 months. All I needed was a final walk through and endorse the final check. I will be sending in more letters and start leaving multiple reviews. In hopes I hear back from someone regarding this matter. I will also be going to Camp Lejeune base leagle with all my paperwork, receipts and photos to see if there is any help or guidance I could get from them.
