Called Banamex-USA to see if they would re-transfer me to Banamex-Mexico, the first time Carol was super nice, let me know they were a different bank but gladly transferred me. After new lady I was speaking with hung up on me, I called back Banamex-USA to get re-transferred, this time got a guy named Alexis Hernandez.. I don't know how he has a job in customer service field as he was awful and beyond rude over the phone. Said he couldn't do what I was asking, they were an "independent" bank.. After telling him a previous colleague of his had already done me the favor he went on to say "ma'am, we're a totally different bank and if we do that for you, it'd be as a courtesy. It'd be like if you called Wells Fargo and wanted to get transferred to Chase" (as if he were talking to a toddler and in the most rude way). I actually work for Chase and told him we get all kinds of calls and always help any customer the most we can, even transferring to Wells Fargo! I spoke to the supervisor Freddie (he was great) but I do hope they address the issue. It's a "closing bank" and with representatives like Alexis there.... You can see why! Great job at hiring this pathetic employee!

Banamex USA was a great bank for me. Absolute best for doing business in Mexico. So sad it's going out of business. Customer service was great though their command of the English language could have been better.

(Translated by Google) Pity Bank, its customers do not care at all, overnight they decide to close my account because they do not "cover my needs" and because "legally" they reserve the right to close it when they feel like it and without explanations !!! ????

Horrible experience. Totally disreputable bank . Zero customer service. Banamex USA, after years of uneventful banking that involved a few basic transactions, contacted me to obtain intrusive and detailed personal information that they said was needed for the bank records, then several months later abruptly demanded that I close my account. I could get no explanation, and was refused any contact with anyone in authority by phone. In addition, their customer service , reached only through messages and emails, refused to return most calls, when reached, would not allow me to talk to anyone in authority about the account closing, and emails to the contact office provided were totally ignored. They refused to release any funds unless I would wire the entire balance to another bank. In addition to the financial mess they created, I travel internationally, and this was a major disruption in my life. I have never had a similar experience with a US bank or other foreign ones where I am a customer. It may be related to their fraud investigation, or just being a lousy bank.

Is there a "0" ?I asked to speak to Customer Service, and She was RUDE!. The name escaped me and now we will be forced to deal with her again!!!Directing questions to general questions concerning acct was met with attitudeand with a unfriendly disposition and I was told "Your not are customer and will Not answer your questions" I asked to speak with a supervisor/manager. This Woman hung up on me. I then called back and "Vivian" answered the phone, I explained I had requested to speak to a supervisor, and gave her my name again, and she chuckled, and said "what happened?" I asked to speak to supervisor and she transferred me to Customer Service again. Jose Valencia answered and again I explained how RUDE the first woman was in answering my question, and I requested to speak with a Manager AGAIN, Jose Valencia transferred me to New ACCTS, AAGGH! again transferred, to the incorrect person. fortunately I spoke with "laura" in New Accts I then explained my situation to her and she listened and assisted in trying to contact the Manager, the line was busy and she stated if I provided her with my phone #, which I did, Laura informed me Either Freddy Gonzales or Ruban Acevedo would be calling me back. I await their phone call.................................

This is the worst bank I ever done business with. They never know when they can resolve a customers concern and take forever to give you answers. Their customer service supervisor is rude and helpless. The customer service supervisor makes u wait very long tie on the phone. They are rude just like most of the Banamex employees in Mexico. I don;t recommend this bank to anyone. I am closing my account and trying a different bank.
