Steinbach credit union is literally the best bank in the history of banks. These guys giving it the one star probably don't get out much. I've been with them for about 20 years and there are so many great things they do. Today.... I needed to move some Canadian funds to USD, so I called my American Bank (Bank of America) and they quoted me a rate about 5-6 cents worse than todays rate (77). Called SCU, (it was a big amount) and they were within, maybe, 1 cent of the rate.

We can't pay our Mastercards there anymore. We called cuets and they said that there is absolutely no reason y u shouldn't b able to pay your Mastercard there. I guess they are just to lazy.

Always greeted with a smile, very good service and their services are fantastic. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in answering your questions. There have been a few times where the teller has actually given advice for how to maneuver money around my accounts to make the most of potential interest. They also work with Credential Asset Management which makes opening an investment account quite simple.

Changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars. The Lending department is amazing and they really do make things work. You just saved my life today!

Good customer service and a very helpful institution. They don't just give away credit unless you are more then qualified but they can be relied on. Almost always treated me good. Great savings rates compared to the big banks. Loan interest rates are competitive. Very hard to get a line of credit with these guys but I probably misunderstood the terms.

Dont waste your time here unless your Grandpa is popular in town and has a few million bucks.They have very low risk policies in place.
