I usually only do positive reviews but when I feel I have been wronged I write one of these. The experience wasn't only a huge waste of time it cost me a lot of money. Twice I was approved, once in the initial review of documents I brought in and emailed to them( a video congratulations to that fact, and another email later). We followed through with due diligence on giving to them everything they requested with was substantial, We received a prequalified letter to go shopping, found a house, entered escrow, paid for a home inspection, pest and termite and was well into the process when "all of a sudden" there were problems. After talking to other lenders on the reasons given to us for this sudden reversal on being approved we were informed at best those reasons were "LAME" and should not have an issue or at the VERY LEAST come up BEFORE preapproval. Long story short, do yourself a favor, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I did!

Applying for a home loan is a tedious process because of government regulations. I was very lucky to be referred to Sue Parrinella by my realtor. She is knowledgeable, thorough, kind, and always listened, with much understanding, to my venting about the detailed process. She always responded to my questions immediately, and I am so grateful for her guidance. Thank you, Sue! You’re THE BEST!!!

Sue Botello and her team are nothing less than amazing! I was a first time home buyer, business owner and a bit disorganized to say the least. I wanted one house we got 3/4 of the way there a few days out from close I changed my mind. I found another place I liked better. The seller accepted my offer with a literally impossible close date and Sue and her Fort Walton team did it! We closed on time and I would use them again and again! Thank You Sue Botello!!

We completed a residential loan through the team at Waterstone with ease. We were a little concerned as we had a short closing time frame, but they still had the clear to close days in advance.

Lots of back and forth with all the required paperwork and a couple hiccups regarding what we sent in vs what they received didn't stop me from having a mostly enjoyable experience with Waterstone. Sue, Jamie, Ginger, and everyone else there was a delight to work with and knowledgeable on all aspects of the home buying process. If you're able to have a conversation about the movie The Big Short with a former underwriter and not get scared away, you will have a good experience.

Honestly, look elsewhere. Has been nothing but a headache from the start. Had to keep sending in documents over and over because they couldn't find them, none of the officers were in sync on my loan and I had to keep playing the middle man. And now my close date has been pushed back a week because they couldn't get the final inspection in. And I still don't know when I'm closing.
